… So, if you want it reamed …
Part Two of The Real Don Steele from Monday, July 21, 1969 features more of the always energetic Mr. Steele, with music restored for the full historic experience. The ‘scoped presentation of this aircheck was created by official KHJ historian Ray Randolph. The original recording came from the private collection of The Real Don Steele, and was recorded in the KHJ studios.
A portion of a few recorded commercials were saved, but most of the commercial sets were ‘scoped, too. One small piece was missing (probably around a newscast) so an authentic Drake Series 1 Johnny Mann jingle was used to fill. Thanks also to Stormy Hunter for musical assistance.
Steele gets hung up on fungi while doing a commercial for flea and tick spray, reminding us that he was the most fun guy of all!
