… moving targets are harder to hit …
[DESCRIPTION BY UNCLE RICKY]
Jack Armstrong continues with his program from Friday night, September 4, 1970, on KTLK in Denver. It’s sobering to realize as Jack plays the now-classic Piece Of My Heart that Janis Joplin would die of a heroin overdose one month later.
The Denver population must have consisted of lots of hipsters in cowboy hats at the time – note that Dave Mason’s Only You Know And I Know was #1 on the KTLK charts (for the fourth week in a row!) though the record only reached #42 on Billboard’s national compilation.
Jack Armstrong passed away March 22, 2008 at his home in North Carolina.
