Contributor Chuck Simms recorded this aircheck of Dandy Dan Daniel and newsman Frank Stickle on WMCA from November 9, 1965. Chuck writes:
“The recording was made under difficult circumstances. I was using an old Wilcox-Gay monaural half-track recorder with a homemade microphone. I wired a telephone mouthpiece to a 1/4 inch phone plug and placed it next to the radio speaker. WMCA was broadcasting on auxilary power. This setup was all I had at the time, after all, I was only 15 years old.”
